The crew of the yacht which is anchored onshore can stay in Turkey as a tourist after passing any Turkish Customs. Their legal staying period depends on their nationality.

If they want to stay in Turkey more than their legal staying period, they need to obtain a residence permit in Turkey. There is no type of residence permit to be obtained directly as the yacht crew, but if applicants submit the following documents to the immigration office with other required documents, they can get a short-term residence permit.
- Official crew list of the yacht,
- Agreement between the yacht company and port administration,
Address information is one of the important issues for obtaining a short-term residence permit in Turkey because applicants must notify their address during the interview. (Being a yacht crew is not exactly an explanation for not giving an address) The immigration office evaluates each application with the required documents depending on the purpose of being in Turkey.
Important Point: Requested residence permit period limited to the duration of the agreement between yacht company and port administration.

Making a preliminary examination for the residence permit application
Determining the interview date: We compare the immigration office system with the applicant’s schedule to determine the convenient date.
Eligibity checking of the application documents: the required documents list will be shared with the applicants , we will provide support at every step of the process.
Making the application at the immigration office: Our team will meet the applicant at the immigration office. ( If applicants give us POA, our lawyer is going to accompany them.)
Government fees will be paid by us and the application file will be prepared.
Follow-up of the application process: Immigration Officers are going to evaluate and conclude the application file in a certain period. We will access the immigration system to check the status of the application.
If needed, our authorized lawyer will submit the additional application documents to the immigration office within determinated period.
Obtaining the resinde permit card: The card is sent to the applicant’s address, ( As a rule, the applicant or outhorized person can get it from the relevant institute.)
